Cohiba cigars. During his second voyage to the New World in 1496, Christopher Columbus revisited western Hispaniola, which is now known as the Dominican Republic. To his surprise, he discovered that the Taino Indians of Hispaniola were smoking leaves of cured tobacco. "Cohiba," they called it. Today, Cohiba remains as much a part of Dominican history as ever.

 

This all-new Cohiba debuted in 1997. General Cigar has produced a three-size, unbanded Cohiba for 20 years, but this new, medium-to-full-bodied blend has more of everything, including sizes and taste. The Corona Especial is finished with a twisted head and the Crystal Corona is packaged in a glass tube. The product of five years of research, it is offered in a beautiful mahogany box.
