In music, the Prelude introduces the theme, while the Intermezzo develops it further and leads on to the climax, the Maestoso.
With names that recalls musical terminology, this blend is like a complex orchestration of flavor for your your pallette. Introduced in the early 90's, these cigars feature a Connecticut Shade wrapper around a Dominican Havana-seed binder. 6 different Dominican tobaccos blended perfectly together make up the complex filler.
The blond wrapper that envelopes this cigar is spotless, superior, and supple with light oils. This has a good draw, and good construction—something that one should come to expect with the Avo line, and has a razor-sharp even and regular burn. It has a pleasant blend of tobaccos, producing flavors of abundant nuts, earth, and wood, with hints of tart berries and cinnamon, giving the cigar a medium- to full-body, with an extremely creamy texture that is to be expected from the Avo line. This cigar builds in strength and flavor throughout, never becoming a powerhouse, but yet creamy and quite tasty. Some might call it a blend of the original Dominican Davidoff line and a richer Avo. It goes good with coffee after dinner.
